For most of my life our family has used Stanley products. One of the oldest memories I have is of my father going off to work with his lunch and Stanley thermos. I like to use mine in the fall and winter for hot drinks, hunting and camping or even on a long hike; it’s great when it’s cold out to have something warm and chocolaty to drink!

When I first started mountain biking, at the high point I was biking nearly 80 miles a week. One of the things I found which wasn’t a big deal but it was a pain, was having to pull the water bladder out of my pack and fill it up all the time. One day in uptown Calgary I had just bought a 2L bottle of water and wanted to fill my pack, and it came to me, why they don’t just make an adapter that you can screw onto the bottle and attach to the hose of your water bladder system. It never made sense to me to take the whole hydration system out of the pack when you had the hose hanging right there on your shoulder. After all, if you drink water from it why can’t you put water back in the same way!

As a user of Nalgene bottles for many years I have found them to be the horse to beat when it comes to outdoor bottles. They have no plastic taste, easy to clean and very hard to destroy! In fact one day we thought we would try to do just that destroy one to see how hard it would be to break or crack the bottle.

Recently I found myself in the need of a replacement for my old reservoir, so I decided to pick up one of the reservoir made by Nalgene. Now I am timid in water packs because, I've been very disappointed in a few. One that I found to be very poor quality

One of my favorite containers for water use to be the old army canteens but there was a lot of stuff I liked but many things I didn’t. One thing I feel was a down side was that they were green and thick plastic and you couldn't see in side this made it quite difficult to clean and to see if there was any mildew or dirt in the bottle.

I like most people have used water hydration system for a great many years because of their light weight and ability to carry large loads of water. The kinds I have use are platypus, camelbak, nalgene, and Solomon each hydration system had its own things that made it great but the two Source packs we reviewed in this review
