These symbols are internationally recognized and use for signaling for help from ground to air and are best used on the ground or any surface that can be seen from far off or from the air you can use clothing, wood rocks or anything to make the symbols but make sure they are very visible and easy to see and identify.

WARNING: Don't use them unless you’re in need of help because air craft will report them and send help when they are seen, so if you’re not in need of help and just messing around you will get into trouble and even be charged fines and costs of sending searchers out.
